As planned, I'm going to release the project open source, with a
reference document dedicated to the smartbus. You will get all the ins
and outs of the smartbus and we should be able to go further ahead in
the discussion.
My following step will still be to work on a pentium and upwards
revision wich will be a step closer to a usefull version.
Nevertheless, I found there is some relatively cheap electronic projects
we could play with to do a smartport to usb bridge and a standalone
smartport mass storage. These projects are, but not limited to, Arduino,
UBW32, and CUI32. I feel them better than going from scratch, but I
wonder if a skilled guy could achieve the same goal (considering this
project) with cheaper hardware.
