I didn't think that the 68k cross assembler also did emulation, but
I never really cared enough to download that thing.
As to a z80 emulator, with z80 cards so readily available in the
1980s (CP/M fanatics and all that), and the fact that emulation would
be a fairly serious speed hit (probably at best 1/4 speed unless you
did some fancy stuff like recompiling pieces of code on the fly), I
never heard of a software emulator.

Yeah, that might be neat, but unless you're one of the few who
really needed such a thing, there's no general need to write such a
thing. I can think (and dream of writing) a bunch of other things
that would be a lot more useful, but I have no time (graduating and
trying to find a job, etc) to do anything of the sort.
