Omega GS now Second Sight aware (not the tank game)

I have just posted to comp.binaries.apple2, and uploaded to caltech & ground,
the third release of the text screen based RPG, Omega, for the Apple IIgs.
A short description has been uploaded with the archive and there is a Readme
file in the archive.

Porting Omega to the Apple IIgs is something I have done to test my curses
library for the Apple IIgs. I added automatic Second Sight support to
the curses library over the weekend and so naturally I recompiled Omega
to take advantage of it. If you have a Second Sight card driving either
an RGB or a VGA monitor, Omega will display in color through the Second
Sight card. An RGB monitor plugged into the video port will be blanked
while you are playing Omega. Of course, it still works if you don't have
a Second Sight card too - you just don't get to see all the pretty colors
Omega uses with a Second Sight card.

Also, since I didn't post an announcement of the 2nd release about a week
ago, I'll say now that a major bug was fixed in that release, so if you
tried to run Omega and it bombed on startup, try it again now. Also, if
you fell asleep waiting for 4378 strings to load, the 2nd release release
speeded that process up significantly so try this new version.

Finally, I'll remind that that requirements to run Omega are 4Mb RAM, and
hard drive. (Well it should work with 3Mb if anyone actually has that...)
An accelerator is highly recommended, but I have tested Omega without an
accelerator and it's not too bad. The slowness comes when you are moving
around on a level with lots of monsters, as the game checks each monster
between each of your moves to determine whether or not you can see it. So
once you've killed most of the monsters you move much faster. Also if you
become blinded, it doesn't check anymore so you move more quickly. I
wouldn't necessarily suggest walking around blind though....
