When I was having repeated problems one of my programs in Orca/C, I got
to the point where I would put the executable and all data files on a
floppy, execute it there, and keep it from screwing up a hard drive.
I even got to the point where I had an EXEC file on the HD with the
sources that would erase the floppy, write out the new executable and
data files, and then run it. I still do that, even though I don't have
the problem anymore, just because it's so much hell to correct the damage.
