VOC output to AV Mac: Excellent!!!

I have been playing with my new AV Mac along side my good old GS. I
plugged the composite output from the GS to my AV MAC and called up the
Video Monitor application that puts video input from TVs, VCRs, etc. right
on your desktop. Voila! The GS screen appeared on my MAC, sizeable as
full screen, half or quarter. Really neat! Picture quality was not
really that good even after tweaking the settings in the program, so I
hungered for more. I then connected the AV MAC to my IIGS's video
overalay card output. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! The picture on my MAC looks
almost like the IIGS monitor! Big question: why is the NTSC composite
output on the VOC so much better than the IIGS???
