The GS will NOT show up in the Mac's chooser (seems to be what
you were expecting). You have to mount the Mac's shared drives
on the GS by using the AppleShare control panel.
A standard Imagewriter II mini-8 din cable is sufficient for this
if the machines are close.
You can't mount the GS drives, because the GS doesn't have filesharing
software. But it works great to access the Mac. I do this all the
time. In fact, that's how I share files between the two GS's
on my network.
