AppleTalk GS to Mac filesharing?

I must have seen 2 dozen posts on this question in the last two years but 
never paid any attention because i didnt need to know.  But now...

Sorry for the redundancy.

I want to transfer some large files between my Mac & GS.  The rz on my 
Internet server hasnt ever worked for me and Zterm doesnt work on the Mac 
anyway.  Got the Macs chooser set to filesharing.  The filesharing 
moniter comes up fine but cant see the GS.  Got the AT drivers in GSs 
drivers, shifted the RamFast to slot 5, turned on Appletalk in slot 7.  
No go.  Am i missing something?  The GS manual says something about 
"Workstation software" for the GS.

What about an null modem cable?  I assume you can not use a regular modem 
cable because the send and receive lines have to criss cross, right?  Got 
buy or build, i suppose.

Is this all in the FAQ?  Where is that anyway?  I can never remember.
