We've talked about a number of new II-- let's call it "II Altair"
this time-- attractions; but, John Le Febvre's slant may be the best. The
'Altair is the '52 T-Bird, the '65 Mustang. 'Altair may not, for now, have
the most mega-flops; but, it's Unique, it's an Apple, and it's a Really
Neat computer!

How does Apple win over the home user to Altair? That's what ad
agencies are paid to do, though, in fact, this is a campaign you could
design in your sleep.

Which brings up this observation: PC makers are totally unprepared for
new competition. The few makers who can afford TV ads try, mainly, to
associate a name brand with fuzzy impressions of confidence and niceness.
No one actually advertises the PC. For a time at least, Apple II Altair
will be as a wolf among fat complacent sheep.
