I recall reading somewhere (in an old Genie message archive, I think)
that 6503 is merely the Apple part number for a 65C02.  Apple's parts
inventory system couldn't handle letters in the part number, or
something.  This sounds more reasonable to me than Apple producing
IIe's with a totally different chip.
