hmm, I was wondering how many were built too- not a great deal probably.
(I've got a 'III with two proFiles, seem to be lacking a lot of 
software to drive them though.). The fact that they take a minute or 
so to power up gets really annoying too ;)

not sure about worth money-wise, unless you've got one of the rare 
original machines... think mine's one of the later 1983 models.
As far as collecting goes though, they're a fine example of how
a potentially good product can be messed up in a big way. 

don't know if I've got all the documentation for mine. Got a proFile
'manual', the main Apple III user manual, and all the shipping
details. But the manual's pretty sketchy as to how to actually
*do* anything wih the machine- maybe apple released more technical
manuals seperately??

anyone out tthere got schematics for the 'III btw? Something I really
need as my 'III could decide to die at any moment...

(sorry for the lack of t's in places and extra everywhere else...
