I just hooked up the HP OfficeJet using a parallel card.  The commands
are the same as the HP 500 series.  HP has refined their printer language
to the point that it seems to be standard.  You can call HP First
1 800 333 1917 and have the commands downloaded automatically to a FAX
machine.  HP First is a menu driven system that gives technical support
for their products.  I just downloaded about 20 pages of data concerning
my OfficeJet.
