Yes. Nite Owl used to make a battery for the IIGS that would slide onto the
leads of the other battery without having to be soldered to the board. If
anyone knows where you can get these batteries now, you might care to post
to this newsgroup? I have had the same Nite Owl battery in my IIGS for a long
time, and it's still running strong.
