Re: .nib Images to real Apple disks

Hi, y'all!

Step 1) Bill Garber sent me "FORT2play.do"
Step 2) Copied "FORT2play.do" to a 720 KB MS/DOS disk and carried the
disk upstairs
Step 3) Inserted the MS/DOS disk into my A3000 and transferred
"FORT2play.do" to a IIgs via serial cable
Step 4) Used "DSK2FILE" on the IIgs to create a real disk
Step 5) Used "SST" to create data on both sides of a disk using the
disk from step 4
Step 6) Used "DSK2FILE" to create image file "F2BGP1.DSK" from the
front side of the disk created in step 5
Step 7) Used "DSK2FILE" to create image file "F2BGP2.DSK" from the
back side of the disk created in step 5
Step 8) Transferred "F2BGP1.DSK" and "F2BGP2.DSK" via serial cable
from the IIgs to my A3000
Step 9) Copied "F2BGP1.DSK" and "F2BGP2.DSK" to a 720 KB MS/DOS disk
and carried the disk downstairs to this system
Step 10) Used CiderPress to combine "F2BGP1.DSK" and "F2BGP2.DSK" as
"F2BG.nib"
Step 11) Used "XVI32", a hex editor, with "F2BG.nib" to search for AA
AB AB AB AE AB AF AB
Step 12) Changed the DE AA, following these eight bytes, to DE AB
Step 13) Searched for AA AB AB AB AE AF AF AF
Step 14) Changed the DE AA, following these eight bytes, to DE AB
Step 15) Searched for AA AB AA AE AA AA AA AF
Step 16) Changed the DE AA, following these eight bytes, to DE AB
Step 17) Saved the patched image file as "F2BG.nib"
Step 18) Fired up AppleWin with "FORT1.do" in slot 6, drive 1 and
"F2BG.nib" in slot 6, drive 2
Step 19) Pressed 'R' and was VERY pleased to see the source work file
compile and run
