The StyleWriter 2400 is NOT command-compatible with the BJC 4000. The
only thing they really have in common is the print engine. Apple has used
Canon print engines in their inkjet printers ever since the original
StyleWriter -- with proprietary firmware that's not even remotely similar
to Canon's.
You probably ought not to strain yourself looking for the DIP switches
either, I'm afraid.
