Yes. You are right. All that is important is business. If a machine doesn't
make a direct profit why should it exist? It doesn't deserve to. You should
have used 1984
as your example and not 1983.
 
Actually, the evolutions of Apple/Mac and IBM have been a left brain/right
brain type pf thing (I forget which is which).
 
Whereas Apples ruled the schools and arts and such (institutions where
ideas SHOULD be worth more than dollars), IBMs were the skinny for accountants
and such.
