Beats me. Apple II users must, alas, concede that DOS 3.3 and, even,
ProDOS 8 do not match-up well against Windows 95, Windows ND, or the
Mac/OS. Sure, in-ROM BASIC confers some advantages; but, given the choice
of a 166MHz, 16MB Pentium running Windows 95 and a 1MHz, 128K IIe running
ProDOS 8, I'll go with the Pentium nine times out of ten!

Yet another telling observation! (though your chronology is off about
6 or 7 years; but, that's okay). Everyone knows how important business
sales are. Just look at market share, influence (on platform design,
software, etc.), and rock-solid financial condition of 'business first'
makers like Apple and IBM.

As for the unsympathetic responses your efforts have received, what
can one say? Just because most of the world's computer tech expertise is
tied up in the Apple II user group, _some persons_ look upon informative
postings by dedicated PC types as infantile burpings.

Indeed, many of your critics regularly mess around with System patches
and hardware mods. What do they know of the joys of 'Plug & Play'? How can
they appreciate a really macho behemoth OS like DOS + Windows 95?!
