Heh. It may have been the infancy of the IBM-PC revolution, but 
the Apple II had been in wide use as a business computer for about 
five years by that date.

In fact, it was the very success of the Apple II-VisiCalc 
combination that showed IBM that there was a market for business 
PC's.  If you look at the history of the time, you'll find that 
the PC was a very mediocre computer by the then-current standards, 
and it was IBM's eagerness to please its dealers that won it 
market share.  Apple had a problem with arrogance even back 
then--some things never change, apparently.
