   Because with Intel's 133 and 150 MHz Pentiums, the speed advantage isn't
much.

   Not true, more like 10-15%.  Even worse, the 604 is getting blown
away by the Pentium Pro, the 620 is super late and not much faster than
a 604 (albeit it's 64 bit), and no new core seems forthcoming from the 
PPC camp in the near future.

    Definitely not true, priced PowerMac 7500's lately.  About $2700.
Pentium machines can be had for around $2K.  Maybe things will get
better when the PowerPC Platform machines start appearing, and have
the ability to run multiple OS's.
