I have been trying for weeks to get a PCT up and running
properly, with no success. I have never owned or used one
before. I have copied the /AEPC disk to a 100mb zip disk on my
SCSI chain. When I boot the system, the PC card is activated,
and I get the error "Non-system disk or disk error Abory,
Retry, Fail?" or something to that effect. I have an Apple 3.5
drive on the PCT's own drive port and there is a PC-readable and
formatted 720k MSDOS disk in the drive. I have configured PCT
to understand that the A: drive is the 3.5 drive and that
/AEPC/MSDOSVOL is the C: drive. I do not have any
Transdrives... just the SCSI zip drive and 3.5 drive (and a hard
drive). I ran the RAM test, and it passed. I have read the
manual and addendum.
Thanks in advance for any help.
By the way, some time ago I read that the PCT can corrupt information
on my hard drive. Is there a FAQ on the PCT, or does anybody have
information about the card's idiosyncracies?
