It's all down to techy details like horizontal sync rate. The GS uses
a sync rate of 15.75kHz (or thereabouts). Old multisyncs like the Nec
2A could sync down to that rate (but cannot cope with the rates of
modern video cards in return), new multisyncs sync down to about 30kHz
(and can cope with the rates of modern video cards in return).

In short, if you want a "foreign" monitor on your GS, you have two
options:

- Buy an old one that can sync down to the rate the GS uses
- Buy a SecondSight (email seqjoea@aol.com at Sequential for pricing)
and stick that dream monitor on there.

I'll be going the second route.
