You have a well known problem in your keyboard, one that is easily fixed.
The keyboard needs to be taken apart and the connections to the ADB
(mini-DIN 4) connectors resoldered... Apple blew it on the design
(so what's new??? (yeah, sarcastic but called for, they knew better))
and depended solely on the solder joints for the physical mounting
off these connectors.
The fix only takes a few minutes, usually lasts several years, and
works great :)
