Re: Interest in Golden Orchard II?

John,
I wasn't suggesting rescuing stuff from AOL (yes, I started
this thread in reference to what to put on GOII) because
AOL is somehow better than other online services. Just that
an Apple II only owner can't access the library there (as such
a user can access Apple II software on caltech, grind, Genie or
Delphi). Thus, this would be a service to the user community. There
is still software on AOL, as well as transcripts of conferences
and roundtable discussions, that exist nowhere else. You'd
rather see all the contributions of those former AOL subscribers
with Apple IIs disappear into oblivion?
My assumption and hope is that GEnie, CIS and Delphi will continue
to support Apple II users for many years to come. But I wonder
how much longer AOL will maintain the software library of a
computer system it no longer actively supports. That was the
reason for my mentioning a rescue of the AOL libraries.
