GS RAM card question

Sometime ago, I ordered an Apple IIGS and a 4 Meg Ram Card. I haven't
received the IIGS yet, but I did already get the RAM Card. According to the
label printed in the card itself, this is a Q-RAM GS Rev. 2. In the
receipt it says it is a "GS Super Ram W/4 Meg (Simm)". I assume that's the
same thing. It seems to be from Sequential Systems.
 
The question is: this card didn't came with any manual or disk, is that
normal? (I assume it is new, I got it from Alltech Electronics).
 
Also, it has 2 dip switches. Switch 1 is on and switch 2 is off. What is the
purpose of these switches?
