First, make sure your printer's 'On Line' indicator is lighted. Have
you tried booting BASIC, loading a short program, and doing a PR#5 and
then a LIST? You should get a listing printout.
If nothing happens or you get a garbage printout, then you may need to
send some kind of special control code to the printer and/or the
interface. Maybe someone who knows about the KX-P1124 printer will have
some ideas.
If your printer responds okay to simple stuff, the problem may be that
Appleworks needs to be told that your printer is in Slot #5. (Normally,
Apple II programs expect the printer to be in Slot #1.) Go to the
Appleworks setup menu and set the printer output to Slot #5.
