There are GS-specific versions of Bard's Tale I and II. Both were
originally published (1987-88) by Electronic Arts. A few years later they
were re-released (1991-92) directly by Interplay as updated versions. Both
supported GS/OS, could be installed on a hardrive, let you 'save-game' at
any time, auto-mapping and MIDIsynth music support. Big Red Computer Club
used to sell them, check with them before they close for good on 12/31/95!
Bard's Tale III for the IIgs also exists, although it's author
(Bill Heineman) never released it due to licesning problems. At this
point in time I doubt it ever will be.
>just about any other RPG.
Quite a few come to mind: The Immortal, Ancient Land of Ys,
Dragon Wars, Tower of Myraglen, Ultima I, Questron II, Keef the Theif,
Pirates!, War in Middle Earth, Windwalker, Dungeon Master, Cryllan Mission,
Secrets of Bharas, Curse of Azure Bond, Pool of Radiance, Neuromancer,
Ancient Glory, etc.
Of those listed, I can only see one that's definately still
available (Ultima I, from Vitesse) and possibly Ancient Glory if BRCC
still has any copies left in stock. Your best hope is looking for used
copies of games on comp.sys.apple2.marketplace.
