Lynx with the Apple

  I'm trying to use Lynx throught my local carrier, but with what's 
highlighted, I can't tell if I select something.  A also have spurious 
characters, and the words sometimes shift.  In all, I've nearly given 
up.  
  I've tried different emulation modes, but none have worked: ProTerm 
2.x, 3.x; MegaTerm, ColorTerm.  All of these support vt's and/or ansi, 
but none seem to work.  Has anyone had any luck traveling the web with an 
Apple?  I'm stumped.
