dying RGB IIgs monitor?

For the last month, my monitor has gradually needed more and more of a warm up
time to lighten up. Now, it's gotten to the point that I can barely see the
"Energon" level on Zany Golf - the monitor is very dark!
Any suggestions? Is it something as simple as a bad fuse, or something? I'm
game to take this thing apart 'cause I don't think I can find anyone to work
on it - I've repaired my 3.5" drive also, as needed. Any and all help
appreciated. BTW. I live in L.A. county (So Ca), so any suggestions on repair
places?
