This post is exact my point.. the 65816 CAN'T DO 120mhz, and even the
newest ones can only do about 20mhz max.. yet GS users make statements
like like.. "Yeah, give mea 2000mhz Apple //e and I could do the same
thing as your computer" Fact fo the matter is there is no such thing and
never will be.. yet GS users continually say such stupid things.. my point
of my original message was not to rip the GS but rip users who say things
exactly like that.. Actually I would venture to say if I turned my P-120
down to 14mhz and gave it a 2.8 mhz bus, it would still be faster than a
GS.. after all it is a 64 bit chip, accessing memory 64 bits... its just
crazy what you say.. everytime something new comes out a lot of GS users
just seem to go waco with such stupid statements.. Yeah I guess if you
took a Pentium chip, cut it into 8 pieces, ran it at 5% of its speed, cut
the BUS speed by 90%, and run it with a mouse running in a wheel, the GS
would be faster.. your right.. Keep things in perspective, the GS is a
great computer don't get me wrong, but I swear everytime something new
comes out all of a sudden that $6000 mainframe system a person has is
NOTHING compared to a GS if it could just run at 250mhz in parallel with 4
other 65816's.. I seen this happen with GNO was first released too, like
it was the second coming..
