Very difficult - it would probably require disassembling the whole
program (into a form in which it could be reassembled with changes)
then modifying it.  There is also the problem of identifying the
mysterious header.  The latest messages I've seen on the subject say
that it is an AppleSingle header, but I haven't confirmed that yet.

There is a technote on the AppleSingle format, so it shouldn't be too
hard to verify this.

Legally: probably no problem doing this to a personal copy, but it
could not be distributed unless Andy Nicholas gave his permission.


I don't see the point - it would be better to just have a separate
utility to deal with the AppleSingle header.  There is already a simple
utility available that will get rid of the header.
