At what point does this message come up? Before you get a chance to
boot, or at some point during the GS/OS boot sequence? Can you boot
from a floppy directly into ProDOS-8 and/or GS/OS?

This error indicates memory corruption. The most likely cause (after
buggy software) is a loose chip somewhere. Remove your ZIP and RAM
card, and make sure all the chips are seated properly. Also check
that the ZIP cable is well seated.

Next, disable the ZIP (SW1-6 OFF), power up and run the self-test. If
that passes OK, try booting running a memory test program over your RAM
card. Also try booting with the ZIP disabled (you may have to remove
ZIPInit, which will probably be set to restore full speed).

It might be a faulty ZIP or a faulty chip on your memory expansion
card (particularly near the top of memory).
