Not knowing what comm program you are using (can make a big difference!)
Have you tried using OA-up-arrow and OA-down-arrow? The //c keyboard
doesn't identify the arrows as special keys. In fact, all of the special
keys except RESET on the keyboard are mapped as follows (same is true for
the ][e, btw):
TAB: ^I
RETURN: ^M
LEFT ARROW: ^H
RIGHT ARROW: ^U (note: sometimes Applesoft programs will see this as a SPACE)
UP ARROW: ^K
DOWN ARROW: ^J
OPEN APPLE: Paddle Button 0
SOLID APPLE: Paddle Button 1
Trouble is, the DEC terminal standard has completely different uses for,
say, ^K and UP_ARROW. For example, the PICO text editor uses "^K" for
erase line, but uses the arrow keys for screen maneuvering. So the
terminal program at your end has to decide when you type the arrow keys
whether it should send the control-key, or if you want the three-character
DEC arrow key sequence. Some programs (i.e. ProTERM) handle this by
reading the open-apple key, sending one sequence with the apple key
pressed, the other with it released.
Good luck!
