I've had a TI-85 for at least a year now and it's great. I've used
it in conjunction with electronics courses because the instructors
seem to use it a lot. I purchased the interface kit for the PC and
it works just fine. That reminds me, I need to back up the calculator
again before the battery goes :)
I came across the following information in sci.electronics the other
day, it may be of interest to you TI-85 owners. Some one has designed
a circuit that will allow you to interface with the TI-85 without
purchasing the official kit. You get some text and several GIFs which
provide the schematic and circuit board layout. Try the following
