Disk ][ vs. Duo Disk controller cards

Could someone please tell me the difference between a Disk ][ controller
card vs. one for the Duo Disk drive unit? A couple people have told me they
are the same, but they do not look the same and the connectors are different.

I need to know which cards are capable of running a Duo Disk drive unit and
if there are any special cables needed. Thanks.
