Hi,
I recently received a Apple II SCSI Rev C card and decided it was time
to try out a Apple CD300e Plus drive i have had in storage for years.
I have read the FAQ and some posts, but am struggling to get it to
work on my GS. The CD drive itselfs works perfectly when i tested it
on a Powerbook G3.
I have downloaded the Golden Orchad 1.2 CD and burnt that Image to a
CD. The CD works fine on a Mac and i see all the icons etc when i open
the CD.
On the GS i am running GS/OS 6.0.1 and have installed the relevant CD
drives via the install disks. I can see in the drivers folder
SCSI.Manager and SCSI.Driver. There is also a Media.Control Folder
with AppleCDSC and media.setup. In the FSTs folder is HS.FST. As far
as I have read that is all i need.
The GS is a ROM01, Stock CPU, 4MB Ram, CFFA in Slot7 with Scsi card in
slot 6 (marked as Your Card). The CDROM unit has a terminator
attached. The CD is ID3. The jumper on the Apple II SCSI card is on
pin 9.
The Desktop of the GS doesn't show a CD icon. I have made sure the CD
was on first with the disk inserted before turning on the GS.
Any suggestions ? :)
Thanks
Drew
