I have to say Softalk was the best ever. Unless you mean Apple II only of
course. It was published from Sept '80 to August '84, and covered every Apple
machine there was in that time, II's, III's, Lisas, Macs. The main emphasis
in the early ones is Apple II since that was all Apple had at the time. Though
it didn't last long enough to cover the 512K Mac, much less the IIgs, it's 
truly classic. I've collected the entire series except for the first five and
have recently located two of those. When you sent in a subscription card with
your machine's serial number on it, you got a free year's subscription. That
was cool, I nearly got my full year for my //e's serial number before they van-
ished. The older ones have been a treasure trove of information about the old
machines I've been adding to my antique Apple hardware collection.
