My experience of a colleauge's Quickie-C (ie, the colour version) is that it 
just plain doesn't work! It's accessible only through the Quickie NDA, 
not the application, and the results are absolutely dreadful. Any 
attempt to adjust color balance crashed the system. 

I'd love to hear that someone else has got this thing to produce full 
color images without any trouble, and if so, how they do it.

All approaches to Vitesse over this have been largely fruitless, the 
final solution being the offer for a refund. Bundling up the enormous 
glass-and-metal scanning frame and sending it half way around the world 
is not a realistic option. Sorry.
