When I got my first //e in 1986 it was becasue of the ease of use, not
requiring a system disk to boot it up and there were many programs for it
at the time, at the time cost was another factor. I have since gotten a
IIgs and a //c for my daughter, but my //e continues to run my BBS as it
has since 1987. Though I'm typing this on a Powerbook 100; I needed a
real portable computer; I'm still a // person. An articles was writen in
the Southern New Jersey Apple Users Group newsletter for July and Auguest
which was a letter that had been written to Apple Computer asking why
they stopped making and supporting the II even though there are still
millions of them in use and support still is strong. Maybe the editor of
that publication will see these posts and place the letter on the net
