It uses a 65816. Since you can plug a 65802 into the existing processor socket
there's no need for a card with that chip. I believe the card connected to the
socket and had a cable running to the card piggybacked onto the RAMworks, where
the 65816 was located. The extra hardware was supposed to let the 65816 address
all the memory on the card. The closest I came to one of these was trying to
buy a used one and losing out to a better offer though so I only know what
AE and Checkmate used to hype in their ads. I do have a 65802 in my //e and
can say that it doesn't add a whole lot of capability unless you write you own
code. Which is a pain since all I/O and firmware calls only work in emulation
mode.
