any external "hayes compatible" modem will do fine - but be a bit carefull
when getting the cable - not all mac hardware handshake cables are
constructed correctly.. if the one that comes with the modem doesn't work,
various places sell correctly configured cables (Alltech Electronics, for
instance)

Personally, I recommend USR or Practical Peripherals modems - it kinda
depends on your telco situation.  Cheaper modems may not work under
adverse conditions (like my Supra not connectiing to one of my internet
providers)

as for the graphical IIGS browser?  if you hold your breath that long,
your family will grieve as they burry you.  The support structurefor such
a beastie is being written now, but it's gonna be at least next year
before we actually see one.  (IMHO)
