I thought of trying this, but for some (unknown) reason, needsgno() and 
kernStatus() both failed to function properly (or their use has changed 
since the documentation that came with GNO 2.0...)

Originally I was a bit afraid that linking with the old Orca libraries 
would break GNO, but it appears they don't...I posted earlier that the 
"Orca-specific" version is actually a generic version that's actually a 
little smaller and a little faster than the "GNO-specific" version.  

This is really my first experience working on something to run for both 
GNO and Orca and I had envisioned all sorts of problems that just didn't 
materialize (not that I'm complaining :)
