Weird Error 0911

Here's a strange one...

Ever since I dropped a 9/64 Zip in my "development" GS I occassionally get
the infamous Error 0911, which I've been told indicates an overheated ADB
controller. But here's the weird part... it only happens when I first turn
the computer on! If I let it sit for a while (a couple of minutes) with the
bouncing apple then do a warm boot it runs fine, it's almost as if the
computer has to warm up before it acts right. Any thoughts?
