Good suggestion above. Does the Control-I give you a tab? If not, then
the problem is probably the software you are using.
1. To clean the switch use two small blade screwdrivers and pry up from
opposite sides on the Tab key. If you pry and an angle you can break
the stem of the key off in the key cover, so be careful.
2. Look for a hair going into the key beside the stem. I've had that
happen more than once so I now have a keyboard cover and no
problems.
3. Spray some contact cleaner down the stem and work the key.
If the above fails then you will have to replace the keyswitch. That
procedure is somewhat too long to go into here. I think there it is
covered in the faq.
(Speaking of the faq, where is it? I have not seen it float by for some
months now.)
