First, if you haven't already installed the HFS FST on your boot disk, do so.
Use the Installer to do this, or locate the file HFS.FST on your original
6.0.1 disks and drag it into your System:FSTS folder.  Then reboot the
system.

Once the HFS FST is installed, you can format a disk for HFS by simply
inserting the blank disk in the disk drive.  A dialog box will appear
asking whether you want to format with ProDOS or HFS...click on HFS.
