You have to make sure that you have the HFS FST installed in your System 
Folder (use the System 6.0.1 Install program if you can't find it, or if 
you can find it simply drop it onto the System folder Icon and it will 
find its own way home). It's on one of the System Tools disks, but I 
can't remember which one off hand. Reboot, and you'll find that when you 
try to format a 3.5" disk you'll be given the option of formatting it as 
an HFS 800K disk. You can then easily write text files to this disk, and 
any Mac word processor will read them directly.
