Problems with IIe and Imagewriter

We have an Apple IIe, Macintosh LCs (one with IIe card), and an 
Imagewriter II. Help! Help! 
     (1) I can't get the Apple IIe to print to the Imagewriter. The IIe 
has a serial card, the Imagewriter has an AppleTalk card and we are 
using PhoneNet boxes and twisted pair wires.
     (2) I can't get the LC to recognize the 5.25" external floppy drive 
for the IIe card.


Please HELP!
