RamFAST and 45 second message

  I recently moved.  After hooking up my //gs, which was working
perfectly fine, and booting it up the RamFAST displays the
annoying "Searching SCSI bus... make take upto 45 seconds..."
message.  I hooked up my 2 external drives the same way as
before and I didn't get this message.  It doesn't take 45
seconds, more like about 20, and only on power-up (not
subsequent reboots).  What is the deal?

 It's a Rev. D card (has latest and greatest ROM) in a ROM 1 GS.
It does have a serial number that is in the realm that needs
one (or 2?) of the chips replaced for Second Sight support.
