Hm. Well, I put 220uf caps on the r,g,b lines and after letting the monitor
warm up for about an hour, the picture finally stopped rolling
horizontally. It looks very clear, filling the whole screen... but there
is a strip of 'noise' running vertically right down the middle of the
screen. By 'noise' I mean a strip perhaps 4 pixels wide where the image
is darker & distorted a bit. Hm.
What is the 'funky' pin modification? I showed a friend of mine my
schematic and he told me I should connect the SNES video ground to the
cable housing, but it doesn't make any diference. Having to let the
monitor warm up really stinks, plus it desyncs when you turn the SNES
(super famicom in my case ;) ) off to change games.
Anyone out there have a solution (that doesn't cost hundreds of dollars?)
