Good idea. But personally I hope the default will be 640x200 in SS mode.
Why? Because:
1) It will be usable in the RGB monitor. Interlaced mode is not suitable for
doing average job, it will kill your eyes.
2) All the programs will look right except those who needs 640x400 or
640x480 mode (let the users have a choice).
