Checkbook Manager and Diversi-DOS

A friend of mine has an Apple IIe enchanced with a 40-meg Vulcan hard drive. 
He has been running a program called Checkbook Manager that runs on
Diversi-DOS, a program from J&M Software, which apparently went out of
business.  OK, he wants to convert his
files to
...OK, he wants to convert his files to his new IBM-compatable (NEC notebook),
but cannot figure out how to do it.  Is there any programs or techniques anyone
can suggest.
