ADB keyboard problem

I am having a problem with the ADB keyboard on my GS.  My option key no
longer works and I would like to repair it at this point rather than buy
a new keyboard (I'm saving my money for lots of other toys: ZIP GS,
RamFAST, SS SVGA, and more).

I should mention though that this is not the standard GS keyboard.  I am
using a "French Canadian" (?) Mac keyboard.  The bottom says "Apple
Keyboard" and "Model No: M0116 C".

I have already tried taking the keyboard apart to fix it but have been
unable to remove the key cap.  I applied pressure to the key cap but
stopped when I started to get nervous about breaking it even worse than
it already is.  :/
